Qualifications:
An associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a related field
0-2 years of experience
Industry experience in the engineering/design field
Effective written and verbal communication skills
A background of working well as a part of a design team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of PDF, Microsoft Office, Spreadsheets, and PowerPoints
Strong computer and mathematical skills
AutoCAD knowledge
Responsibilities:
This individual will take part in the preparation of civil site design drawings utilizing CAD software along with coordination and preparation of jurisdictional agency submissions for various site development and infrastructure projects.
The designer will collaborate with the Project Designer and/or Engineer to conduct field visits aimed at site reconnaissance.
You will have the opportunity to gain experience by assisting the project team in the preparation of drawings, reports, and studies for a variety of projects.
Use AutoCAD software to complete basic drawings using input from engineers and landscape architects on their team.
Complete field visits for projects to obtain visual and photographic information, and perform SWPPP inspections for active construction projects.
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines
Acquires basic knowledge and develops basic skills through mentored experience.
Interact primarily with internal project team members.
Assist in the preparation of design plans with the support of the design team.
Complete the design of construction details with the support of the design team.
Prepare and submit submittal documentation for approval.
Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections
Prepare project reports, specifications, and plans.
Review construction drawings and specifications
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Complete jurisdictional applications with assistance from Project Designer/Engineer/Landscape Architect
